Books that made me cry

I was watching P.S. I love you on Astro last night and suddenly remembered how it made me feel when I read it for the first time. The story was quite different from how its potrayed in the movie and that didn't endear itself to me but I was hooked as Gerald Butler was the main hunk : )

I sobbed myself to tears in Popular book store as I sneaked a read in between some shopping last year. I was quite embarassed and just my luck, no tissues. With tears running down my face and nose all blocked up, I couldn't put the book down so I just hid behind the shelves trying to wide away all the tears and clear my nose. I bot the book a few days later.

The other book that made me sob my heart out was Marley and Me. Again the scene was set in Popular book store and the tears came when it was time to put Marley to sleep. I think it hit me so hard because I have 2 dogs of my own and couldn't imagine ever going thru what he went thru. I read and reread the book for months to come but it still moved me to tears. The last I read the book was when I made a trip to KK with my sis and there I was sobbing (yeah, again) in the plane on the way back to KL to catch the next flight out to Bangkok. AirAsia of course : )

If you are looking for another touching story and someting to cry over, Fine Things written by Danielle Steele is another must read. Get the tissue's ready when you reach the part where they are lying in bed and she breathes her last after a long struggle with cancer. He continues holding her and when the sun peeks over the horizon, he leaves her and walks along the beach remembering. I last read it more than 10 yrs ago.
